Fuchsia is a capability-based, operating system currently being developed by
Google. It first become known to the public when the project appeared on GitHub
in August 2016 without any official announcement. In contrast to prior Google-

Jan 8, 2018 … I want to preface this by saying, I have no proof of what I’m about to defend, nor
do I have direct contact with anyone at Google about the platform in question.
With that said, I do not believe Fuschia will be replacing Android or Chrome OS.
Hypothesis out of the way, it’s now time to defend that statement.
Dec 30, 2017 … Just the facts. Google is in fact working on an open-source operating system
called Fuchsia. The company first posted Fuchsia code on GitHub in August 2016
. Unlike Google’s other operating systems (Chrome OS and Android), Fuchsia isn’
t based on Linux, but on a kernel called Zircon. (Zircon used to be …
Jan 2, 2018 … Fuchsia—which only started development in 2016—is Google’s third operating
system after Chrome OS and Android. The development documents describe the
OS as targeting “modern phones and modern personal computers,” which would

Jan 2, 2018 … Unlike Android OS or Chrome OS, both of which are based on Linux, Fuchsia is
built on Zircon (formerly Magenta), a new kernel created by Google. Meanwhile,

code capable of running on multiple operating systems.
Jan 2, 2018 … To rewind for a moment, Fuchsia is a brand new mobile operating system that is
being built from the ground up. Where as Android and Chrome OS are built on
Linux kernels, Fuchsia is built on Google’s own Zircon kernel. It even uses
Google’s in-house programming language, so the platform is 100% …
More Flexible even then then the currently running Latest Android version. May
run across all platform i.e., Android and iOS. Runs on Google New kernel called ‘
Magneta’. So, no further need of Linux kernel on which Android and Chrome OS
is already running. So on success of Fuchsia, it may become a replaceable
option …
3 hours ago … Google Fuchsia is another operating system that the company is developing
alongside Chrome OS and Android. Google’s been working on it since 2016, but
has remained tight-lipped about the project. We checked it out back in 2016
when it was in a bare-bones state, but now, Ars Technica has got the …
Dec 30, 2017 … If Google actually improves Android and Chrome OS by replacing the Linux core
with Fuchsia somewhat like they did with ART replacing Dalvik I’d say they’re on
the right track, don’t you agree? Maybe you mean why fix it if it ain’t broken but
Android regardless of how fixed it is, still has many broken parts.
